I am currently enrolled in the IRSC Police Academy and my goal is to complete the program in July 2021, pass my State Certification Exam and gain employment with a local Sheriffís Office or Police Department. I was working two jobs - as a full-time Juvenile Probation Officer and a part-time Enumerator for the US Census Bureau-to help pay for my education. Thankfully, I received a scholarship from the IRSC Foundation which allowed me to quit my second job and focus on my full-time job and my coursework. I am so grateful for this opportunity to follow my passion and achieve my lifelong dream.
